Defending champ Joey Chestnut downed 61 hot dogs in 10 minutes to win his eighth consecutive championship, edging out Matt Stonie (51 dogs) at the Nathan's Famous Fourth of July Hot Dog Eating Contest at Coney Island on Friday.

Chestnut and Stonie were neck and neck for the first eight minutes - they were tied at 53 with barely a minute remaining - but the man known as 'Jaws' pulled ahead at the end to win another 'Mustard Belt'.

The 61 hot dogs and buns equal 23,790 calories, 1,189.5 grams of fat, 60,390 milligrams of sodium, 2,245 grams of carbohydrates and 793 grams of protein.

Chestnut, by the way, is 6'1" and weighs 220 pounds.
