Geek'd Con is the primary pop culture convention for the Ark-La-Tex region, and one of the biggest comic con style events in Louisiana. The 2026 event takes place from August 14th through August 16th at the Shreveport Convention Center. The convention floor opens on Friday evening for the first night, and will continue through Saturday and Sunday. The weekend serves as a major economic driver for the downtown district.

The three day gathering provides fans with direct access to celebrity guests, hundreds of vendor booths, panel discussions, and professional photo opportunities. Fans navigate two vendor floors throughout the entire convention center. The event schedule includes fan panels and free game, cosplay contests and autograph sessions. Admission passes are currently available through online retail portals starting at $25. and in person at multiple retail locations across Shreveport.

Original Scary Movie Cast Members Attending

The 2026 guest roster features a reunion of actors from the iconic Scary Movie franchise. Attendees can meet Shannon Elizabeth alongside Dave Sheridan. Jon Abrahams and Lochlyn Munro complete the core retro group...these actors will be available for signatures and pictures throughout the weekend. This group represents the foundation of the spoof comedy era.

Shannon Elizabeth portrayed Buffy Gilmore, while Dave Sheridan played Officer Doofy, as well as the physical actor for Ghost Face...and the voice. Jon Abrahams stepped into the role of Bobby Prinze, and Lochlyn Munro played the aggressive athlete Greg Phillippe...all four delivered performances that redefined comedic timing for a generation of moviegoers. Their appearances coincide with a wider anniversary celebration of the 1996 slasher film 'Scream' that inspired their parody.

New Scary Movie Represented On the Guest List

The convention lineup also includes iconic scream queen Felissa Rose. She gained international recognition for her work in 'Sleepaway Camp' in the 1980s. Rose appears in the 2026 release of 'Scary Movie'. While her performance remains in 'spoiler alert' territory, fans say it integrates classic slasher elements, with modern comedic sensibilities.

Her inclusion in the lineup bridges the gap between the 2000 original and this summer's blockbuster release. The timing of her Geek'd Con trip follows the record breaking release of the latest film in the series. Fans have the chance to discuss both classic slashers, and modern spoof comedy, with all of these cast members.

Classic Franchise Memorabilia and Autograph Options

For a lot of franchise fans, they will probably want to have something they can get all of the cast members to sign. For fans who think that's the way to go, but aren't sure what they would like to use as their item...we have some ideas:

- Original theatrical posters remain the preferred item for cast signatures. A standard 27x42 inch 'Scary Movie' theatrical print accommodates signatures from all the attending actors...blue or silver paint pens provide high contrast against the dark poster backgrounds. If 27x42 feels a little too big, you can actually find smaller versions of official posters that work just as well.

- Vintage VHS covers present another great option for fans. The cardboard casing absorbs permanent marker without smudging, and collectors often place signed VHS copies inside hard acrylic display cases to preserve them. The obsolete media format drives additional secondary market demand for authentic signatures.

- Funko Pop figures continue to dominate the physical collectible market. The vinyl figure packaging includes a clear plastic display window...actors sign directly on the transparent plastic, and collectors use specialized protectors to shield the signed boxes. Since Funko has produced a specific "Tongue in Cheek" Ghost Face from the iconic 'WAZZZUP' scene from the franchise, there's a PERFECT option for this plan.

- The release of Scary Movie 6 introduced new promotional merchandise to the retail market. The AMC Theatres Shop distributes limited edition merch that has autograph space on different items. Stores like Spencer's have a whole run of new merch, and there are even some new action figures that are making it out onto the market.
