Daniel Erspamer, Chief Executive Officer of Louisiana's Pelican Institute think tank, talks with 101.7 / 710 KEEL's Robert J Wright and Erin McCarty about this fall's statewide races, including the governor's race and what he thinks will be the most hotly contested legislative races.

Erspamer tells KEEL listeners that, in his mind, Governor John Bel Edwards is not a shoe-in for reelection, citing the right leaning inclinations of the state electorate and the conservative of both of Edwards' Republican opponents, State Representative Ralph Abraham and New Orleans businessman Eddie Rispone.

The Pelican Institute boss also comments on local legislative races, giving opinion and insight into the upcoming Senate races featuring two incumbents, Ryan Gatti and John Milkovich, both of who will be facing tough challengers in their reelection bids.
