The question of what kind of vaccine you got is so last week. The new question to ask isn't "J&J or Pfizer?" It's more like "Did you get your shot at CVS?". I have never been more grateful to have gotten my last shot at the CVS in Longview off the loop because now I can enter the One Step Closer Sweepstakes!

If you got your shots at any one of our local CVS's come June 1st you can sign up to win all kinds of prizes. The sweepstakes kick off on June 1st and end July 10th. Why is CVS tempting us? They realized that a lot of American adults are scared and hesitant to get the vaccine. So what works to get us in the door? The possibility of some VIP seats at next year's Super Bowl of course. I mean, it caught my attention.

I visited the sweepstakes website a tad early, I am patiently waiting for Tuesday, June 1st. "Get your COVID-19 vaccine and enter for a chance to win one of over 1,000 prizes! Don't miss out! Come back June 1 for a once-in-a-lifetime chance to win amazing prizes. Open to eligible patients 18 years of age or older who have received their COVID-19 vaccination* at CVS Pharmacy® or who plan to by July 10.*"

What are some prizes we can win? According to USA Today, there will be over 1,000 prizes. Among the prizes are epic getaways like a 7-day cruise, VIP tickets to the Super Bowl, and even $5,000 cash prizes for family reunions. We can finally gather together and travel when we get our vaccine. You know I have my eye set on those Super Bowl tickets. This beats getting a free donut, give me all the prizes.
