A fatal hit and run has claimed the life of a pedestrian. On March 2, 2021, at around 9:30 p.m. Shreveport Police responded to a report of an adult female pedestrian victim who was located in the roadway near the 100 block of Bert Kouns Industrial Loop. The victim was unresponsive and not breathing. She was later pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators responded to this location and began combing through clues. at a nearby restaurant and was possibly walking to a bus stop near Linwood/Bert Kouns Industrial Loop when she was hit by the vehicle.  Based on the evidence located, the vehicle involved in this hit and run may be a dark blue Toyota RAV-4 between 2006 and 2008 model. The Toyota Rav-4 may also have damage to the passenger side front bumper. This is an on-going investigation.
