When Mudbugs hockey returns to the ArkLaTex this fall, fans will see a Hirsch Coliseum they may not realize...after completion of a $1.5 million upgrade!

The stately old Hirsch is undergoing a complete facelift, thanks to Mudbugs managing partner Tommy Scott and the new ownership group. When it's all done, the new Hirsch will have a seating capacity of about 4,000 - down from about 7,000 - with the installation of all new seats, ice level suites and other new amenities.

Meanwhile, skating on George's Pond at the Hirsch is currently underway. Mudbugs hockey, with the 'Bugs competing in the North American Hockey League, will begin in September.
