Highway Work Zone Safety Urged

Road work can be an inconvenience to motorists -- but it can also be deadly to the people doing that work. Department of Transportation and Development District Administrator Darrell Goza says much has been done in the past year to improve safety on Louisiana's roads, but there are also many things that we can do as individuals to improve safety -- not the least of which is to slow down in construction zones. Last year, fifteen workers were killed in work zones -- just in Louisiana. That's why Governor Jindal has declared this week as "Work Zone Awareness Week" in Louisiana.
