‘Hear U’ Is Headed to Shreveport This Weekend

Sorry, could you speak up a bit? I can't hear you. If you're tired of saying that, you need to head out to Community Church's Kid City this weekend for Hear U.

University Health Shreveport, along with LSU Health Shreveport's Department of Otolaryngology will offer free hearing screenings for children and adults Saturday from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Speech assessments will also be offered, and there will be presentations from professionals and specialists.

You'll also have the opportunity to hear from real people about their experiences with hearing loss and new technology that can help. The event is free and open to the public.

There is a good chance of rain this weekend, so kids are invited to have fun inside Kid City, with its large indoor playground, arcade and children's activities. Kid City is located at 5720 Buncombe Road in Shreveport.
