Haughton Man Arrested for Sexual Abuse Involving Juveniles
The Bossier Sheriff’s Office has arrested a Haughton man on multiple sexual abuse charges involving juveniles.
55 year-old Conrad Williams of Haughton, was arrested on Feb. 28, by the U. S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force, after they executed a Bossier Sheriff’s Office warrant. Williams was transported to the detective’s office where he was Mirandized and questioned about the charges.
Detectives say during their interview with Williams, he admitted to befriending several juveniles ages 13 and 14 on social media. He admitted to having several juveniles in his home on many occasions.
During their investigation detectives spoke to two juvenile victims who admitted that Williams shared sexually explicit pictures of himself with them via social media. They told detectives that on several occasions Williams would expose himself in their presence at his home. The victims also told detectives that Williams would purchase alcohol and “vapes” for them.
After their initial investigation, detectives arrested and charged Williams:
· Three Counts of Indecent Behavior with Juveniles - $450,000 bond
· Two counts of Computer Aided Solicitation of a Minor - $300,000 bond
· Two counts of Contributing to the Delinquency of a Juvenile - $150,000 bond
After a digital forensic examination of Williams’ cell phone, detectives charged him with 30 counts of Child Sexual Abuse Images. Bond has not been set on these charges. Detectives say this case is still under investigation.
Sheriff Whittington is urging parents to monitor their children’s phone usage and social media accounts. Predators reach out to minors through social networks, gaming platforms, or apps. There they pose as a peer, use fake photos, or create fake profiles to lure minors into a relationship with them.
Detectives with the Bossier Sheriff’s Office continue to aggressively investigate child sexual abuse cases with the ICAC team, the Attorney General’s Office, and the aid of the latest technology. They encourage anyone with information regarding this crime or any other crimes against children to contact the Bossier Sheriff’s Office at (318) 965-2203.
