Hard Times on Easy Street

One man's in the hospital...another's in jail for allegedly attacking him with a screwdriver. Just after 9 last night, Shreveport police were called out to a stabbing in the 1500 block of Easy Street. When they arrived, they found 40-year-old Robert Prather suffering from a laceration to his head and a puncture wound to his right forearm. He was taken to LSU Hospital with what are described as minor wounds. Officers have learned that Prather was accosted by a man he knows, 51-year-old Billy Spiller, during an ongoing dispute between the two. Spiller was arrested a short time later and charged with one count of aggravated battery.
