Shreveport’s Premier Garden Tour Is Coming Up
If you love and appreciate beautiful yards and gardens, you will want to save these dates. The annual Les Tour des Jardins is coming up on June 3 and 4.
The Northwest Louisiana Master Gardeners hosts this beautiful event every year. This year’s garden tour will include six private gardens across Shreveport and Bossier.
What Gardens Are on This Years Tour?
Hedy and Don Hebert Garden
This Benton, Louisiana garden has a beautiful lake view, and a lovely greenhouse and gazebo where you will get to see a variety of roses, palms, cannas and many other exotic plants.
Mary and Rodney Roppolo Garden
Another Benton home that boasts one of the best rose gardens in the region. You will also enjoy caladiums, magnolias and several water features along with a very special vegetable garden.
Gretchen Henry Garden
This home is in the Broadmoor subdivision in Shreveport and features pollinators galore, wonderful yard art, Peruvian lilies, angel trumpets, and a fish pond filtered by pickle weed.
Bob and Alexis Petrus Garden
This beautiful stop on the tour is in the Ellerbe Road area. You will find a spectacular pool surrounded by beds filled with all kinds of color, ranging from roses to hydrangeas and even some grape vines.
Lynn Estes Garden
Another stop in the Ellerbe Road area. You will find lots of tropical foliage, banana plants, lantana and day lilies. This home also has a great pathway and a stone creek.
Jessica and Stan McCallon Garden
This spot is in south Shreveport and has plenty of annuals and perennials, altheas, azaleas along with a beautiful pool and patio.
Red River Research Station
There will be a garden bazaar at this stop in south Bossier city. They are planning to have food trucks and vendors. You can also enjoy a tour of the Louisiana Super Plants gardens, a project of the Northwest Louisiana Master Gardeners.
What Are the Hours and Prices?
Tour hours will be 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on June 3, and 12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. on June 4. Advance tickets are $10 and can be purchased at any Citizens National Bank, or click here to get your tickets. Tickets will be $15 on the day of the event.
