The results are in from a recent safety checkpoint. As part of the Click It or Ticket campaign, Bossier City Police held a checkpoint in the 200 block of John Wesley Boulevard from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. yesterday.

They checked a total of 143 vehicles and issued 11 citations for seat belt violations and one for no child safety restraint. They also wrote 13 more for a variety of other offenses. Five people were arrested for having outstanding bench warrants.

The department will participate in the campaign through June 2nd by utilizing additional patrols that target motorists who choose not to wear seat belts or secure children in safety restraints. Officers will also conduct another checkpoint in the coming days.
