
Two Felons Arrested by Shreveport Police for Gun Possession
The Shreveport Police Department has been working hard to get guns out of the hands of those who are not suppose to have them.
Early in the morning of December 3rd, Officers responded to a domestic violence call from Monkhouse Drive. While heading to the scene, responding Officers heard a gunshot.
Officers got to the scene, and were able to arrest D’Reginald Taylor, who is now charged with:
• Illegal Use of a Weapon
• Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon
Taylor has prior convictions for aggravated flight from an officer, simple burglary, and felon in possession of a firearm.
Later that same day, SPD’s Warrants Unit, VCAT, and the Shreveport City Marshal’s Office executed an arrest warrant at a home on Frederick St.
While SPD was arresting the suspect identified as Brandon Robertson, officers located drugs and a gun that had been illegally modified to fire fully automatic.
Robertson is a convicted felon with prior charges including felony theft and aggravated assault on a police officer. He now faces charges for:
• Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon
• Possession of a Machine Gun
• Multiple narcotics offenses
