Driver Flees Police, K9 Called In To Assist [VIDEO]

What began as a routine traffic stop around 2:20 a.m. Tuesday, turned into anything but routine.

Two men were inside the car, and after being stopped, one of them took off running behind Benny's Get-n-Geaux Gulf convenience store at Greenwood and Pines Road.

A K-9 officer and others converged on the store and did catch the man who fled.  He and another man were taken into custody after drug paraphanalia was found inside the car.  Just one of them went to jail though, 23-year-old Santana Deon Anderson, the man who tried to run away.  He's facing an additional charge of resisting arrest.
