Investigators with the Bossier City Fire Department's Fire Prevention Bureau have arrested a Bossier City woman for intentionally setting her home on fire earlier this month. 39-year-old Lexie D'Aunn Reeves was arrested on a charge of simple arson in connection with a fire at her home in the 2500 block of Downs Circle on August 20th. Fire crews were called to the home just after 2 that morning and reported heavy smoke coming from the structure. The fire started in a bathroom and quickly spread to the home's attic, causing extensive damage. Reeves told investigators that the fire accidentally started when she was attempting to repair a leaking water line under her bathroom sink with a propane torch. Based on evidence found at the scene, investigators determined that Reeves intentionally set the fire.
