On the way to take me birthday clothes shopping, my sister -- who teaches Spanish at St. Mark's School, brought me by Columbia Park in Shreveport because she had to pick up some things to take back to the school. That was my first experience at ANY kind of Dia de los Muertos "celebrations." That's what was going on there Saturday morning, so I snapped some pictures while I was out. I loved the displays! And it was so much fun watching the kids bust open the many home-made pinatas. I even got to meet some of my sis's students! What a neat way to celebrate my birthday weekend!
