Cornavirus’ Massive Impact on Louisiana Tourism [VIDEO]
Lieutenant Governor Billy Nungesser talks with 101.7 / 710 KEEL's Robert J Wright and Erin McCarty about the massive impact that the COVID 19 virus is having on Louisiana tourism and the money it's costing the state.
According to a recent study by personal finance website, WalletHub, Louisiana tops the list of states whose economy has been damaged by quarantines, travel restrictions, etc.
Nungesser tells KEEL listeners, "We're still putting all the data together on what this is going to cost in tourism tax dollars and loss of income, but I would have to agree (with WalletHub).
Nungesser points out that tourism is the state's fourth largest industry, generating $1.9 billion in tax dollars for the state every year.
