The temperature climbed to a record tying 107 on Monday and Shreveport leaders have decided to reopen cooling centers to help residents beat the heat.  Here is a list of the centers around town.

The stations are set up to provide cold beverages, including water, juices and teas, free of charge and served in air-conditioned comfort to those seeking relief.  Eagle Distributing of Shreveport donated the beverages.
