UPDATE: Jimenez and his photographer were released from police custody. He recounted what happened in a new report.
NEW THIS MORNING: After another long night of protests over the death of 46-year-old Floyd George, an unarmed black man, while in police custody, another strange event played out on live television. Omar Jimenez, a CNN affiliate reporter who was doing a live shot, was taken into custody. It wasn't immediately clear why he was being detained, but he was working on what looked like a closed street. In the background, you can still see structures smoking from overnight fires set by demonstrators.
