Classic Car Show This Weekend in Downtown Shreveport
In the "Never Say There's Nothing to do" category, the new Shreve Station is hosting a classic car show this weekend featuring classic cars, hot rods, rat rods, and live entertainment.
Shreve Station is the former Sportran Bus Station located at 400 Crockett St in downtown Shreveport. It is now an open air venue featuring live events. It is described on ShreveStation.com as:
...a completely covered, open-air special event venue & food truck lot. Host your event for up to 1500 attendees in our "outside" venue. Looking for something more intimate? We can handle your special event up to 80 people seated inside.
This weekend, they're hosting the first Shreve Station Classic Car Show. In addition to some really cool classic cars and hot rods, the event will have food trucks from Ono's Hawaiian Grill, Hippies & Cowboys, and Sneaux Mobile Express.
There will also be vendors on site, a kid zone, and live music. The Slags will perform Saturday night to wrap up the event. If you're not familiar with them, they are the "House Band", if you will, for the Houston Astros and the Houston Texans.
The event is presented with the goal of bringing awareness and donations to the Renee's Run, and The Salvation Army Boys & Girls Club of Shreveport.
