United States Senator Bill Cassidy talks with 101.7 / 710 KEEL's Robert J Wright and Erin McCarty about the caravan of migrants headed north toward the US border and how he's working with the Trump administration on even more healthcare reform.

Cassidy, visiting the ArkLaTex for a number of events, including a visit to Shreveport Regional Airport. From the Senator's office:

U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D., will visit the Shreveport Regional Airport and later join Innovation North Louisiana in announcing a $600,000 economic development grant. At the Shreveport Airport, Cassidy will assess the progress being made on upgrading its runway and encouraging more business, projects made possible by federal grants announced earlier this year.

Dr. Cassidy will also be on hand as part of the announcement of a grant Biomedical Research Foundation:

The Senator and Rep. Mike Johnson will join Innovation North Louisiana in announcing a $600,000 grant being awarded to BRF's Entrepreneurial Accelerator Program. The grant will result in the creation of the North Louisiana Entrepreneurial Accelerator Program and expand EAP service to 21 parishes with hands-on, industry specific guidance in growing and building their businesses. BRF will match the $600,000 grant, bringing the total project cost to $1.2 million. According to BRF, their efforts will save or create more than 200 jobs and generate $15 million in revenue in the first 15 months.
