Efforts to rid Camp Minden of the M6 propellant improperly stored there are finished.

KTBS reports that the 'burn' is over referencing the ESI website which says they've now destroyed 15,682,874 pounds of the substance and that their project is 100% complete.

So what's next for Camp Minden and the burn chamber housed there? Some are saying they want to transport more substances there for elimination which isn't a plan that's necessarily popular with local residents.

I personally live close to Camp Minden and after having experienced several explosions originating from the facility, I'm not sure I want more hazardous materials coming to our area. What are your thought? Is the boon to our economy worth the risk? Sound off in the comments section below.
