Caddo Schools Chief of Staff, Dr. Mary Nash Robinson Set to Retire

A longtime Caddo Parish Educator is packing up her pencils and retiring after 43 years on the job.

Dr. Mary Nash Robinson, Chief of Staff of Caddo Schools has announced she will retire at the end of the current school year.

Robinson released this statement:

Caddo is in wonderful hands and I am so proud of the team in place within the district and the skill set they bring to the table, in particular that of our superintendent Dr. Goree.

During my tenure, I’ve had the pleasure to work with a number of gifted persons, but this team in place today is second to none. I find great comfort in leaving knowing the children of Caddo Parish will be well taken care of by this district, and the best is yet to come.

We caught up with Dr. Robinson and asked her about the best and worst things that have happened in education over the past 40 years. We also asked her which job in the school system was her favorite. You might be surprised by her answers.

Dr. Lamar Goree, Superintendent of Caddo Schools, said Robinson’s commitment to Caddo is felt in her efforts not only within the district but in the community.

“There is simply no replacement for Dr. Robinson,” Goree said. “I am forever grateful to her for all she has done in the past two years to give me the best possible start as a superintendent, but also her level of service for the past four decades. Dr. Robinson has served this community faithfully working to meet the needs of our schools and classrooms. While we will miss her greatly, I am excited to see what this next chapter brings and the ways in which she will no doubt continue to make a lasting impact in Caddo Parish.”
