Caddo Parish Farmer Wins Cash for School

Mira, Louisiana, farmer Elizabeth Dominick will be at Herndon Magnet Elementary school tomorrow (Tuesday) morning to make a special presentation.  Dominick has been selected as a winner in the "America's Farmers Grow Communities" competition sponsored by the Monsanto Fund.  This is the second year for the program and Monsanto says nearly 60,000 farmers participated.  Participating farmers had the opportunity to win $2500 for their favorite local nonprofit organizations.  Dominick chose the Belcher schools P.E. Department and will be on hand along with a Monsanto representative to present the check.
