SHREVEPORT, LA-   Texan killed in 18-wheeler rollover wreck
The Caddo Parish Coroner's office has named a Texas truck driver killed in a rollover wreck on Interstate 20 early Monday, February 5, 2024.

Raymond Lofland Jr., 67, of Bedford, Texas, died in the two-vehicle collision that occurred just before 6 a.m. in the westbound lanes near Bert Kouns Industrial Loop and Pines Road. Mr. Lofland suffered severe head trauma and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

He was positively identified through fingerprint comparison.

It is not known yet what caused the accident.  The driver of the Kia sustained minor injuries, and was able to walk away from the scene. 

The accident, which happened at around 5:40 Monday morning closed the interstate for several hours as police and emergency personnel worked to clear the scene.

The collision remains under investigation by the Shreveport Police Department.

An autopsy was ordered.
