The Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office arrested a woman last week in connection with a burglary at a local business.

CPSO patrol deputies responded to a report of a burglary in progress at a business on Belcher Oil City Road. When Deputies showed up to the scene, they secured the perimeter around the business.

CPSO, with the help of K9 Deputies conducted a search of the building. During the search, deputies found a woman, later identified as 44 year-old Dana Brown hiding inside the business. Brown was taken immediately arrested without incident.

The investigation showed that Brown and an (as of now) unidentified male were in the process of stealing a large amount of copper wire, welding materials, and other items. Deputies also learned that the place of business had been burglarized earlier in the week.

Further investigation determined that Brown and her male accomplice got to the business on an ATV, which was confirmed to have been stolen from the Marion County Sheriff's Office.

Brown was transported to the Caddo Correctional Center and charged with simple burglary and illegal possession of stolen things.
