The Bossier City Police Department has received a check for almost $10,000 from the Bossier/Webster District Attorney's Office.

The funds come from property seized in 21 drug investigations conducted by the Bossier Combined Narcotics Task Force from December of last year through March of this year.  The assets included cash, vehicles, and other property.  The police department plans to use the money to fund future drug enforcement operations.

Bossier City Police Chief Shane McWilliams and Bossier Parish Sheriff Julian Whittington formed the Bossier Combined Narcotics Task Force in October 2012.  They joined resources and personnel from both agencies to fight illegal drug activity throughout Bossier Parish.
