6 men have applied to be Police Chief in Bossier City.
They are Charles Bridges, Christopher Estess, Brian Griffith, Daniel Haugen, Michael Jones and Jeremy Kennedy.
Estess is currently serving as the interim chief. All of the applicants are from the Bossier Police Department except for Jones, who is currently with the Shreveport Police Department.
The Civil Service exam is on March 17th. Former Chief Shane McWilliams announced last month he was retiring from the department.
McWilliams was demoted as Chief by Tommy Chandler shortly after Chandler was sworn in as Mayor. But McWilliams was fighting his firing. He ultimately decided he would retire.
