
Bossier Parish Man Arrested for Sex Crimes Involving Children
Bossier Parish Sheriff’s Office have arrested a Haughton man after an investigation into the possession and distribution of Child Sexual Abuse Material.
Bossier Sheriff’s Office Detectives got a cyber tip regarding suspected child pornography activity. Detectives launched an investigation and identified 34 year-old Christopher McFarland, of the 100 block of Fitzwilliam Street in Haughton, Louisiana as the suspect.
Evidence was found showing McFarland shared and received sexual images of children and engaged in sexual conversations with minors online.
Earlier this week, with assistance from Homeland Security, The United States Marshals Task Force, and the Shreveport Police Department, McFarland was found, interviewed and arrested.
McFarland is facing the following charges:
- Pornography Involving Juveniles (3 counts)
- Computer-Aided Solicitation of a Minor
- Human Trafficking
McFarland was taken to the Bossier Parish Maximum Security Facility where his bond was set at $3.5 million.
