A broken water main on Delhi Street near Hamilton Road in Bossier City has lead to the issuance of a boil advisory for residents and businesses along a portion of the Arthur Ray Teague Parkway.   The advisory was issued because water pressure in the affected area dropped below state-required levels while city crews were repairing the break.

The affected area starts with Boomtown Casino and extends south to the Northwest Louisiana War Veterans Home.  Both of those facilities are included in the advisory.  It also includes Diamond Jack's Casino, Loop Street, Lillian Street, and Robert E. Lee Street.

The advisory is a precautionary measure, not a mandatory boil order.  It's recommended that people in the affected area voluntarily boil their water before consuming it until the State Health Department can test the water and issue an all-clear.
