Blayne Weaver’s ‘Cut To the Chase’ Wins More Film Awards [VIDEO]

Bossier City native Blayne Weaver's independent film "Cut to the Chase" has earned the Parkway High grad awards for best directing and best lead actor. Co-star Erin Cahill also won the award for best supporting actor.

The action-thriller's latest prizes came at the Northeast Film Festival in New jersey.

The film, shot mostly in the Shreveport-Bossier area, had its red carpet premiere at the Strand Theater in early August.

Weaver had previously won best director awards from the Hill County Film festival and the Philadelphia Independent Film Festival.
