Glay H. Collier II was sentenced to 34 months in a federal prison for defrauding clients. The former bankruptcy attorney was charged with collecting filing fees from clients without informing the courts.

Evidence showed that Collier was charging up to 281 dollars in filling fees on top of his court capped feed of 2,800 dollars.

Of the nearly 3000 Chapter 13 Bankruptcy cases Collier filled in Monroe and Shreveport, the court estimated he fraudulently collected funds in 479.

On top of his jail sentence, Collier will have to pay over 69 thousand dollars in restitution.
