The Bossier Parish Sheriff's Department says property tax notices are being mailed out today. There are three ways to pay -- and four locations at which to do it. Walk-ins from Bossier City or Haughton can go to the Sheriff's Substation on Viking Drive. Hours are 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. In Benton, residents can go to the tax office on the first floor of the Bossier Parish Courthouse, open from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Those from Benton and Plain Dealing can visit the Sheriff's Substation on LA Highway 3 from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. And south Bossier residents can visit the new office on Arthur Ray Teague Parkway between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. Locations are open Monday through Friday, except for holidays. You can pay by MasterCard, Visa, check or cash. You also have the option to pay online through the Bossier Sheriff's website. Taxes are due by December 31st.
