What to Expect When ALDI Shreveport Store Opens

SHREVEPORT, LA – We will soon have a new option for grocery shopping in Shreveport. The ALDI store under construction in southwest Shreveport is just about complete. The company is working to get the store open before the end of this year.

ALDI is currently hiring fulltime workers to staff the store. Minimum pay at this ALDI location is $16.50 an hour. You will work between 32 and 40 hours a week. Click here to apply for a job. The store is located on Mansfield Road near Baird Road.

What Is Different About ALDI?

The goal of this grocery chain is to keep costs low. They also work very hard to make sure shoppers are satisfied. You do need to remember to bring a quarter to get a shopping cart. You will get that quarter back when you put the cart back in the race. This program helps to make sure the carts are not scattered all over the parking lot.

Bring Your Own Bags

You are also encouraged to bring your own shopping bags and you will bag your own groceries. The checker will scar your groceries and put them back in your cart. You will move to a bagging area and put your groceries in your own bags. You can buy bags when you check out.

What’s on ALDI Shelves?

About 90% of the products on the shelves will be exclusive ALDI brands. Many of the products will also be in boxes on the shelves as a way to save time and money on stocking.

Workers hired to work in Shreveport will be training in Longview until the local store opens. ALDI will cover the costs of meals, travel and hotel during this training.
