The Red River Revel opens tomorrow with a lot of new features -- including a new procedure for buying alcohol. This year, for the first time, anyone wanting to buy alcohol at the Revel will have to have their driver's license scanned. If they're confirmed to be 21 or older, they'll get a wristband which they'll have to show when purchasing alcoholic beverages. The scanning will be done by volunteers from the Council on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse of Northwest Louisiana and One Great River, which is a project developed by Mothers Against Drugs of Louisiana.
