1972: CBS News’ Walter Cronkite Warns of Coming Ice Age [VIDEO]

In September of 1972, when global warming (not to mention the internet) was just a gleam in Al Gore's eye, highly reputable scientists were warning of climate change. But not the global warming that wild-eyed advocates preach today, but just the opposite: global cooling!

Yep, way back in the previous century - 42 and a half years ago to be precise - scientific cautions of a coming ice age were deemed so legitimate, that CBS News anchor Walter Cronkite, "the most trusted man in America", thought them worth reporting.

Well, almost half a century later, with global warming advocates still foretelling climatological doom, the USA is undergoing record high snowfalls and record low temps. Maybe, just maybe, ol' Walter's ice age report wasn't so far fetched after all.
