Rusty Scarborough from Shreveport's Walter B. Jacobs Memorial Nature Park, talks with 101.7 / 710 KEEL's Robert J Wright and Erin McCarty about their 15th annual "Owl Night," scheduled for Saturday evening from five til nine at their Blanchard Furrh Road location.

Scarborough tells KEEL listeners that a number of owls of various genera will be on hand, being safely displayed by the park's expert handlers, for visitors to see up close.

Here's more from the WBJ Facebook page:

"Owl Night has lots to do for all ages. You can meet LIVE OWLS, create owl-inspired art, go on a guided night hike, catch owl storytime with Shreve Memorial Library or a naturalist presentation by Christie Chapman of Wildlife Education and Rehabilitation of Louisiana WERLA or John Dillon of the Louisiana Ornithological Society, then relax by the fireplace with complementary hot chocolate and make-your-own s'mores.
Admission is free.
The Hot Dawg Hut, Uneeda Taco, and Caddo Lake Que And Catering food trucks will be on site."
