Woman Found Dead In a Bossier City Bayou

Bossier City Police Department is investigating the death of a woman who was found outside of the Arc of Acadiana Northwest Center on Shed Road in Bossier City.

The 53-year-old woman was found this morning in a bayou behind the facility after workers at the center discovered she was missing at 4:45 a.m.  Workers found her about an hour later and then called police.

Arc of Acadiana Northwest is a facility that assists people with intelligence and developmental disabilities.

Bossier City Police Spokesman Mark Natale says police do not believe criminal activity is involved.  The woman's name will not be released until next of kin has been notified.
