Weather Causes Delay in ‘Olympus Has Fallen’ Movie Filming

Yesterday’s nasty weather — and the threat for more of that today — has shifted local movie-filming schedules a bit.  I talked about that and other topics with local Film Office Director Arlena Acree.  You can find tomorrow’s filming schedules below, which will be followed weather permitting.

Filming schedule for “Olympus Has Fallen”:

THURSDAY, JULY 12TH

7 a.m. to noon — Expect interruptions of traffic on Cotton Street between Louisiana Ave. and Texas St, and  on Common between Crockett and Fairfield

1-7 p.m. — Interruptions of traffic on Texas, Marshall, Milam and McNeill

2-9 p.m. — Closure of Milam St. between Marshall and McNeill for special effects.  Don’t be alarmed if you hear gunfire or explosions and see smoke!

Filming schedule for “Ain’t Them Bodies Saints”:

THURSDAY, JULY 12TH

3 p.m.-2 a.m. — Closure of Williamson St. between Pete Harris & Snow, and Peabody St. between Pete Harris & Butler

FRIDAY, JULY 13TH

7 p.m.-6 a.m. — Closure of Williamson between Pete Harris & Snow, and Peabody between Pete Harris & Butler

MONDAY, JULY 16TH & TUESDAY, JULY 17TH

8 a.m.-7 p.m. — Same roadways closed as on Friday
