Two locally-filmed movies are out now, and one of those dominated the weekend box office.

You can't imagine two films more different than 'The Croods' and 'Olympus Has Fallen,' but right now the two of them sit on top of the box office chart, both temporarily linked by the fact that a bunch of people apparently wanted to see them this weekend. It's the first time in forever that two films have opened to over $30 million at the same time...but it wasn't golden for all of the new release

We all remember when the White House replica was built in South Bossier. We'll get to see how that translates onto the big screen where Shreveport-Bossier will be front and center when 'Olympus Has Fallen' opens.

Of all the movies filmed in the Shreveport-Bossier area, the recently completed "Olympus Has Fallen" (formerly "White House Taken") seems to have caused the biggest stir! The debut trailer for the action flick has finally been released.

The White House is falling in Shreveport, not the nation's capital. Over the next few days, the movie set for "Olympus Has Fallen" is being torn down off Arthur Ray Teague Parkway.

Expect interruptions in downtown Shreveport around Milam, Marshall, McNeil and Texas Streets from 5:30 this evening until midnight thanks to local filming of Gerard Butler action movie, "Olympus Has Fallen."
