Voluntary Doyline Evacuation Extended

The voluntary evacuation in Doyline has been extended through Thursday.  Webster Parish Sheriff Gary Sexton says the explosives cleanup at Camp Minden is going well but it's slow and tedious work.  Sheriff Sexton says he thinks the earliest the evacuation can be lifted and the roads re-opened will be Thursday afternoon.  But he says, realistically, it will probably be sometime Friday.  In the meantime, there's no school Wednesday or Thursday in Doyline and the normal polling places for Saturday's election have been moved to Westlake Baptist Church south of Doyline.  You can listen to my interview with Sheriff Sexton
