First Burn at Camp Minden Scheduled for This Morning

Army Burn Specialists are expected to be at Camp Minden today to begin destruction of 200 thousand pounds of Clean Burning Igniter. The first burn of CBI is expected to start at 11 am this morning.

820 pounds is scheduled to be destroyed today and, if all goes well, a second burn will be conducted Sunday morning. Officials do not expect any offsite impact but are taking precautions to make sure the community around Camp Minden is safe and secure.
