Bossier Sheriff’s Office deputies and other responders worked into the night Saturday checking on residents affected by the storm that struck the Plain dealing area earlier im the day.

According to Lt. Bill Davis at the Sheriff's Office, five homes have received heavy damage, while nearly 20 more have received minor damage.  Despite the severity of the storm, no injuries have been reported.

As of late Saturday night, some parish roads were still blocked by downed power lines and trees.

Areas affected in the Plain Dealing area in north Bossier Parish include Mott Road, as well as Pleasant Hill Road, Gleason Road and the Shiloh area.

Sheriff's deputies will continue to patrol the area throughout the night to give needed assistance.
