Texarkana Man Jailed After False Injury Report

A Texarkana man has been arrested -- after filing a false report to Texas-side police. An officer met with 60-year-old Larence Butler at a hospital after a stabbing report. Butler told him he'd been attacked in the 2000 block of W. 10th Street and in an effort to escape his attackers, he broke a window and went into a home there. Several hours later, officers went to the residence in reference to a burglary. Investigators discovered that no assault ever happened...and now Butler's charged with burglary and filing a false report. He was booked into the Bi-State Justice Center, where he's awaiting bond.
