Here are the local teams still in the playoff hunt: 5A Rummel at Byrd. The Yellow Jackets have the home field advantage. The game is being held at Lee Hedges on Friday night. Rummel has had two tough playoff wins.....moving on by only 3 points in each game...

I thought Byrd would win the rematch with Airline, but I didn’t think it would be quite this good a game.

Lots of big High School football playoff games tonight. These are really hard to pick.

My record is 90-16 heading into the final week of action before the playoffs begin. We have a couple of Thursday night games:  Southwood takes on Haughton at Independence Stadium.  This should be an easy win for the Bucs.   Huntington takes on Woodlawn at Lee Hedges...

Last week, I missed 2 games last week bringing my record to 81-14. This week, I again missed 2 games, bringing my record to 90-16 for the year. I told you Byrd would beat Shreve....that was no big mystery. But I did tell you I was going out on a limb to take Loyola over North Desoto and they did not disappoint me, getting the win in OT ...

I only missed 2 games last week: the Calvary Evangel game and the North Webster North Caddo game. I am 81-14 on the season....doing pretty good in picking these games, but this week could be tricky.

I am 71-12 in picking high school games.  Let's see how I'm going to do this week.

I am 62-10 on the year and this could be the week that I get tested. Several big District games are on the menu this week.

Believe it or not, but week 6 of High School Football is here.  Many teams move into district play this week and several are still undefeated. I was 11-2 with my picks last week. Only Evangel and North Desoto disappointed me!
