Erin’s High School Football Picks For This Week

My record is 90-16 heading into the final week of action before the playoffs begin.

We have a couple of Thursday night games:  Southwood takes on Haughton at Independence Stadium.  This should be an easy win for the Bucs.

Huntington takes on Woodlawn at Lee Hedges.  Both teams have had a tough year…having won only one game apiece.  Woodlawn hung in the game with Shreve and lost by only 1 point, so I am taking the Knights to win this one.

The biggest Friday night game has Byrd hosting Airline at Lee Hedges.  The Yellow Jackets could wrap up the season undefeated and lock up home field advantage for most of the playoffs.  I think Byrd wins this one.

Fairpark plays Benton at Independence stadium.  I think the Tigers bounce back from last week’s loss to Minden and get an easy victory here.

Parkway should have no trouble beating a sluggish Shreve team.

Loyola is at home to take on Green Oaks.  I think the Flyers get another win this week.

Bossier hosts the Griffins from North Desoto and I think North Desoto pulls off the win after a heartbreaking overtime loss last week to Loyola.

Minden should have no trouble beating Northwood this week.

Calvary will win over North Caddo while Evangel gets another win in District play over Mansfield.
