Shreveport’s Sam Burns Among the Leaders At US Amateur Golf

Calvary senior Sam Burns fired a second round, six under par 66 and is tied for third during the stroke play portion of the US Amateur Golf Championship at the Atlanta Athletic Club.

The 18 year old Burns will be one of 64 advancing to match play beginning tomorrow. More than 300 players of the world's top amateur golfers are taking part in the tournament. A new champion will be crowned Sunday.
