The Greater Shreveport Chamber Of Commerce is an organization that promotes economic prosperity, serves as a business advocate, and celebrates the achievements of our region. Recently Richard H. Bremer stepped down as President, and now the Chamber is looking for the next "face of the Chamber."

A press release from the Chamber tells us a little about the accomplishments of the organization and what they look for in the next President:

The Greater Shreveport Chamber of Commerce, with over 1600 members, is designated as a 5-Star Accredited Chamber by the US Chamber of Commerce- one of less than 2% of Chambers across the country honored with this distinction. The Chamber is governed by a 25 member Board of Directors and currently has a dozen staff members that manage the daily operations.

The President serves as the "face of the Chamber" and "voice of the business community" in the role of advocate for business. He/she also serves in a community leader role that facilitates the connection of business, government, education and non- profit leadership. The ultimate goal is to create the best conditions for business growth and success while making Shreveport and NW Louisiana a better place to live and work.

There is a rather lengthy list of qualifications, as you can imagine, as this is a rather high-profile position. You can read the entire list of job duties and qualifications HERE, and if you are interested in the position, you can email your confidential information/résumé by clicking HERE, by August 12, 2016.
