A fire in Shreveport's South Highlands neighborhood causes about $40,000 worth of damage. Fire Department Spokesman Fred Sanders says the fire started around 8 o'clock at a garage apartment on Ockley, near Betty Virginia Park. Nobody was home at the time. The owner had a local contractor doing some work on the apartment earlier that day. She noticed the flames when she went back to the apartment. No injuries reported, and investigators are still checking into what might have cause the fire.
