Murder, Child Molestation Cases in Caddo District Court Today
It’s going to be a busy day in Caddo District Court. In Judge Ramona Emanuel’s courtroom — Marecellus Adams faces arguments and hearings on a second-degree murder charge. He’s accused of the July death of Michael Blackshire during an assault on Miles Street. Beverly Arthur faces further proceedings in her first-degree murder case. She’s charged with the 2007 death of Charles Martin. Her jury trial is set for March 2013. Her co-defendant in the case, Eric Mickelson, was convicted by a Caddo Parish jury in August 2011 of first-degree murder and sentenced to death.
In Judge Mike Pitman’s courtroom, Byron Lloyd is scheduled for a bench trial at 1:30 this afternoon on a second-degree murder charge. He’s accused of the shooting death of Ray Williams in the 3500 block of Twilight Lane.
In Judge Scott Crichton’s courtroom this afternoon will be Jacqueline Renea Williams and Patrick Price Williams. They’re set to enter guilty pleas to multiple counts of molesting a juvenile. And Marcus Donte Reed faces a special hearing at 2 o’clock this afternoon. He’s charged with three counts of first-degree murder for the August 2010 shooting deaths of Jarquis, Jeremiah and Gene Adams on Keatchie Marshall Road. Reed’s jury trial is scheduled for January.
